Study cohorts
Study cohorts are key to our research aimed at investigating the mechanisms that lead to type 1 diabetes (T1D) and to discover novel biomarkers capable of predicting disease development and to follow auto-immune progression during disease course and regression following immune intervention.

Two current cohorts are currently running: the INNODIA cohort, which is a European network for Type 1 Diabetes prediction and prevention; and the BeAT1D cohort, which explores the natural history of autoimmune T-cell responses and of beta-cell decline.
